Stopped here to try out a Beef on Weck on our honeymoon roadtrip. The sandwich was the absolute highlight of our brief stay in Buffalo. It was just an amazing restaurant and experience.

Always great food and they have very nice outdoor dining facilities. We topped it off with a home made apple pie.

Did Charlie The Butcher's move to a different location from the usual Wherle Drive spot?

They're still at their original spot BUT there are also other locations, including one on Elmwood between Auburn and West Ferry as well as multiple "express" locations, I think in the Elicott Building downtown (if not there one of the major buildings in downtown business district,) as well as a couple larger gas station type places, one in East Aurora as well as Williamsville (the one on Main and Hopkins across from ECC North, which is kind of weird given proximity to main location) Personally, I REALLY like the express location by ECC even though it's so close to the original location. They offer more "combo" type options that include sides, unlike it all being ala carte. They also have what is called "butcher bowls," which includes a base, whatever side you want, like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables(though you can do any side) with sliced beef, turkey, or daily special on top. You can split the side too and do half veg/half mash which is awesome and the portion is massive.

It is a small place so there is no eating in. You can place an order when you arrive and social distance while you wait or order ahead of time and pick it up. Masks are required.
