Went in for an inspection on my 2018 RAV4. As usual, there was an upsell for many things unrelated to the inspection. Also, as usual I needed a small license plate bulb to pass inspection. They wanted $36 plus “labor” to replace a tiny bulb! It was a rip- off at $17 in the past. Instead I went to NAPA and got two bulbs for $6. During a time of economic turmoil it is especially infuriating to be ripped off. Now Basil wants $10 to reinspect the car with the new bulb. After this inspection we will never set foot in Lockport Basil again. Their car prices are higher than other Toyota dealers anyway. We will have a mom and pop shop inspect our cars in the future for sure.

I visited multiple dealers and finally ended up purchasing the new car from Basil Toyota. The Sales Executive Zach Liaros went all the way to ensure I have the appropriate information required to make correct decision without any hesitation, be it related features on each models, pricing details and even delivery timelines. Also, Zach kept be appraised regularly of the delivery status between order & delivery of vehicle. In summary, the experience was pretty comfortable for me.

Bought a 2022 RAV 4 Prime, waited 10 weeks for the car, but received faster than expected and I really like the vehicle. For 2022 models there are both Federal & State tax credits as the car qualifies as an EV. The Federal credit comes off your annual Federal return. But the State credit is supposed to be issued through a credit against the purchase price of the car. After my purchase I noticed that I had not been given credit for the $1,000 State tax credit, it was not credited on the purchase agreement. After bringing this to the attention of the salesperson, he consulted with his sales manager and after they researched they agreed that I should have been given a credit on my purchase. The sales person asked me to come in to the dealership and they would give me a credit on my credit card. The dealership is not close to my home, and it was a Saturday. I sent him a response back explaining it was not convenient for me to come all the way out there and could they please just send me a check. Chris the sales manage made sure a check was cut and mailed to me. He then followed up via telephone to make sure I received it. I will be reaching out to Chris to trade in my wife's 2020 RAV 4 Limited on a new Rav 4 this coming spring. Really appreciate Chris making this right for me.
