Beautiful inside & rich with history. Gorgeous floors and ceilings. Famous clock tower inside. Volunteers are passionate and love to help others to appreciate the history of this national historic site. Can’t wait to see this renovated to its original glory!

Amtrak left the Terminal in 1978. From the Terminal's wiki page: "The four daily trains did not even begin to justify such a large station; Amtrak had to spend $150,000 per year on heating bills alone. Rather than spend the massive sums necessary to rehabilitate Central Terminal, Amtrak replaced it in 1979 with the much smaller Buffalo-Depew station, 10 miles east of downtown. The last train that called at Central Terminal was the westbound Lake Shore Limited, which departed at 4:10 am on October 28."
Abandoned? Nope. Far from it. The Central Terminal Restoration Corp. is working hard with public support to restore this jewel to the crown of the Queen City. For more information on what is happening and how you can help, please go to: https://buffalocentralterminal.org/ https://www.buffaloterminalplan.org/ We're looking forward to a Covid-free 2021.
No Tunnel. Sorry.
Yes. You need to contact the conservation corporation, but they will usually let people do exterior photo shoots for a small donation. You can find their contact info at http://buffalocentralterminal.org
