Great question! Honda civics are fairly common cars and 2013 is recent enough that parts should be easily available. Depending on what sort of mechanical issue your car has there's a wide range of costs you might incur. The best thing is to talk to the service department, describe your problem, and get a general idea of what they may need to do and how long that might take. They can probably give you a general estimate after a brief look at your car. The folks at Rusty Wallis have been very helpful to me.
No, depending on your warranty coverage you may be able to get credit towards a new one. I would call service department and compare prices with other battery vendors.
