Location, ideal. Scenery, stunning! This quaint little beer company is tucked perfectly on the Vermont, New Hampshire border near the train station. The staff, friendly and welcoming to everyone that walked in regulars and visitors alike. Craft beers are great and a variety to choose from. The menu is as equally delightful. We ordered the chicken sandman with chips (served w stoner sauce) and station fries. Sierra was AWESOME despite missing an order, she and the kitchen staff recovered in a timely fashion and was apologetic. As a chef, the only downside was the manager walking around never stopped to make sure things were good after the missed order.

Visited June 14th, 2022. Weather was partly cloudy and 80°F. Pros: The views, man. Top 5 view from a brewery. The upstairs biergarten was tight and had a roof. On the edge of it you are technically in New Hampshire which is dope. Great parking options. The Rest: Above average beers but not earth shattering by Vermont standards. The food was just Ok. I had chicken tenders. No one else was ranting about their meals. Overall I'd give it 4 stars but that view bumps it up to a 5 star experience. Absolutely worth a visit. The co-op is a short walk away which is nice so you don't have to deal with driving through all those lights.

May 9, 2022: Traveling on the bridge over the Connecticut River from New Hampshire to Brattleboro, Vermont, the first restaurant you'll see is Whetstone. The scenery is beautiful and you have the option of indoor or outdoor seating. There are heat lamps outside. We chose to sit inside. The service setup is unusual. You get your own drinks, napkins, and utensils, and you order food from your phone. The food comes out to you very quickly. What I like about the set up is you don't have to wait for a server to come to you to order food or to replenish your drinks. You don't have to wait for a server to bring the check to you as you can pay for your tab at any time. The food was outstanding. My friend had the cheese stuffed pretzel which she said was delicious. I had seared tuna and spicy chicken wings, both of which were very tasty. We also got the cole slaw and fries, which were both good.

Whetstone has your typical bar food available. The quality of the food is pretty good and it arrives in decent time. The service we received was great. There's a good selection of beer, a large TV for when there's sports going on, and it's an overall nice place.

They don't deliver.
Hi there, sorry for the late response. We do have quite a few gluten free items, but don't take my word for it, please take a look at our menu online and you will see the items designated with a "gf" https://www.whetstonestation.com/food-menu/ See you soon! --David
Hi there, thanks for asking. You can always check our website for our current listings: https://www.whetstonestation.com/events/category/live-music/
I don't believe so, they are mostly an indoor establishment and they have a full kitchen, so I would assume no. Call to check to be sure.
Hi Joseph, Our kitchen closes at 10pm Sun-Thurs and 11pm on Friday and Sat. We never close before then so if you make it in the door by those times we will happily serve you!
Sorry, but the state won't allow us to have pets- even well behaved ones- to travel through the restaurant to the deck. We've got a great dog park at our campground however, only five miles up the road!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for asking. But our google friend is correct- Vermont does not allow for happy hours...but they have no problem with happy days, so every monday we do Mug Club Mondays and choose one of our awesome craft beers and price it a measly $3! Happy Day indeed!
