Hi my name is Logan. I am 6 months out of my stay at Recovery Village, Cherry Hill NJ. Recovery Village has given me the tools and confidence I need to forever see the light and have hope in life. I entered the village lost and in a very dark spot, and left smiling and just simply being grateful for another breath of fresh air. I am 23 years old so do not fear young ones. Attacking fear brings so much growth. Vulnerability = Strength. Thank you Recovery Village for everything :)!

BEST FACILITY! Out of all of the treatment centers I could have gone to I'm so glad I chose this one. The facility is clean, the food is amazing and everyone is so nice. I wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for the nurses, doctors and my counselor Josh. There were days I got mad over something stupid, wanted to give up and leave but a stop at the front desk and Tina, the ray of sunshine, made me feel better. The Director is amazing. I've never seen anyone work harder and she will help you with whatever you need. No place is without its hiccups, other patients complaining, etc. but this place will forever hold a special place in my heart. I keep my completion coin in my pocket so I never forget to take it one day at a time.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS, I WOULD. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE WITH COMMUNICATION. MY BF HAS BEEN IN THERE FOR 3 WEEKS ALMOST AND THE STAFF NEVER TELLS HIM I CALLED TO HAVE HIM CALL ME BACK. THEY JUST SAY "WE WILL HAVE HIM CALL YOU BACK AFTER DINNER AT 5:30PM" AND THEN THERE IS ZERO COMMUNICATION. ONLY ONE NICE MALE STAFF MEMBER, I BELIEVE HIS NAME IS MATT, ACTUALLY GAVE HIM THE MESSAGE TO CALL ME BACK ON A TUESDAY NIGHT AT 8PM. EVERYTIME I CALL THE EXTENSION FOR NURSES STATION, IT RINGS FOR 30 SECONDS AND GOES TO VOICEMAIL. DISGUSTING NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONES. EVER.

People with addictions who believe they are at risk of being physically dependent on a substance are candidates for medical detox. Most people who struggle with addiction will benefit from a medical detox. At The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper, your treatment team will determine whether medical detox is necessary. Detoxification services are individualized to each patient's needs.
Detoxing at home may feel safe and comfortable but doing so comes with significant risks. Suddenly quitting when you are physically dependent on alcohol can cause seizures, hallucinations, heart failure and death. Detoxing from alcohol is safest and most effective under the guidance of a professional at a detox rehab center.
There are many factors that contribute to an addiction, including genetic makeup, family background, social influences, neurological factors, co-occurring mental health conditions and environmental issues. Even now, many people assume that drug addiction is caused by a failure of willpower or by weak character. However, the medical community recognizes that addiction is a brain disease — not a character flaw.
