This is such a beautiful section of the trail. It's well marked and the trails are groomed to make for an easy hike. There are some hills which makes the terrain all the more beautiful!

Kinda narrow in spurs, but the scenery was great. The trail head location was different, bit I'm using a 2017-2019 guide. It's not on hwy 54, rather its on Edminster road

Great hike and you get to experience the rare oak savanah - pine barren habitat!

Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me is there are long trails? Or is a quarter mile walk in a park and your done type situation?

From the very north part of the park (Edminster Road) through the park to Stratton Lake Road is about 5 miles one way. Some decent elevation changes, too

Can you overnight truck camp in trail head parking lot?

I don't think that is allowed but the park campgrounds are very close by.
