First time seeing the redwoods. Great drive into the forest to the trailhead. Expect a completely underwhelming waterfall at the end, but the giants make the out-and-back worth it. 5.2 miles round trip. Awesome hike.

This is a stunning area to explore. Can get REALLY muddy so be prepared with proper shoes and attire. The drive through the forest is just amazing. Scout is a little tough for little ones. The loop is much better for little ones and strollers

Great place for entire family. The waterfall, if you can call it that, was pretty rewarding. 2.8 mi. oneway.. the only way to have it to yourself is to park and start hiking around 7:45am. leave falls around10:30am. By the time you start heading back you will see people start flowing through. Oh prepare feet for mud. Year round
