Been living here almost 2 years. Staff is nice. Food can not be depended on. Size and taste and temperature. Hallways carpet disgusting. Was told on move in they were being replaced.

This place is a joke. Everything they sell you before you move in is not what’s going to happen. Paul- the sales guy tells you everything you want to hear… Change a carpet? - Sure will do; Have DirectTV dish- Of course, many people have it. Then after you move in, everything is “we never said that”!!! The main gate does not shut at night, so anyone can walk in and out with no security in place. Hot tub is “broken” right now and not working. Everything is “on order” and “will arrive in the future.” It goes on and on … It’s a joke for over 4 thousand a month!!!

Sadly 1 star is too much. I had my precious family members move there. Tammy Hernandez assisted us with signing everything, there after the GM is horrid. The gate keepers (front desk personnel) are nice and helpful but clearly work too hard. The few times I asked to speak with Tammy they try to gently open the door... the woman is sleeping.. texting... goofing off with other back office staff.. When it comes to us and our family members she is rude, the only time she comes out of her office is past breakfast and lunch to get the free food. I have left many messages for her... she doesn't call back. Her office is so welcoming and soo many motivational quotes. She is terrible. She makes promises to get you in there and then doesn't follow thru. All people that I spoke with that work there and that live there complain about her and her there lack of performance. I don't understand why she simply doesn't get fired by new ownership. Everybody is scared of her because of her seniority. At HMM there are many amazing people that work there... turn around is terrible... moral is terrible, food quality has declined and rent is going up. Do your research.. find a better place for your family members. Please...

Depends on which building and floor you are on. Best to call. They also have special pricing at certain times of year. Ask for Jim Elliott. He is very helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is very friendly and could answer your questions too.
Montara does Not offer assistance. You are on your own for those services. It is independent living!
No long term. There are deposits.
I know my friend pays $1,800 a month and the rent is going up he is not happy there due to the food is lousy and the lack of care around the facility. Other residents feel the same way. I would not recommend this place since I have heard such a negativity.
