The only thing nice out this place is the actual building. I definitely witnessed elder abuse here, there’s a lot of rude useless staff. It’s rare to find a good staff member or to find any help. I’m not just talking about the nurses and aides, the case managers, social workers, and therapists don’t care about the patients or what’s best for them. There’s never any communication or anyone calling you back. Money is the only important thing here!

The place is beautiful. With that said I will say this was the worst experience for me and my husband. Perhaps some of the money should go towards a bed that works. Then my advice would be to hire staff so I don’t have to go up everyday to change him. Horrible care. Please, if you are considering donating to the Jewish Home, find out where your money is going. It is definitely not going to patient care.

Our family member has received excellent care here, and I really can’t say enough about the experience of living in the Cottages. They feel very much like assisted living inside, really nothing like a nursing home. We have been engaged with this organization for 5 months, and they truly care about their residents. The communication has been consistently stellar, and I am now completely confident that we will always get a phone call if anything concerns arise.

Some staff members are very unprofessional and rude when in contact over the phone. I reported it to one of the superior staff members as it is important to improve the health care team as a whole, and instead they went into hiding. I can only imagine how the residents must be getting treated by the staff if the staff behaves this way to the public.
