Recreation.gov site has misleading details about the sites accommodating an RV. Very shallow and narrow sites. The camp host was super great though and very helpful. Nice Campground just be aware that if you have a truck and a trailer it's gonna be a tight fit.

The place is perfect if you like mother nature, lots of space for camping and has table and sitting area, it has bathroom, shower no working, it has running area and facilities for BBQ! The weather was cold at night! It was perfect! For nature lover this spot is perfect! I have water view too!

You can make reservations, but they also have spots for first come first serve and $34 per campsite per night
Sorry there is no longer a play ground, or showers, but people still manage to have a great time. As for the lake I'm not sure, but there are plenty of child friendly spots along the kern river.
Yes but when the lake water gets warm there is an algae bloom that is not healthy. There are warning signs advising you stay out of water. June is usually the start of the algae.
