This was a wonderful perspective of Richmond. A great taste of the history that encompasses the city.

Nice quick trip on the canal. The boat ride was about 45 min and the captain told several interesting stories of the sights we encountered along the way. A fun way to explore Richmond and its history.

This was a great way to pend an hour on a sunny afternoon. The Captain is very knowledgeable about local history and was extremely personable. The cost is very reasonable and was enjoyable for my 4 year old to my senior aged in-laws. The boat DID NOT make anyone queasy during the canal trip either as it is a flat bottom boat on very calm water.

Great tour and information about the Canal System in Richmond. Well worth the time and price.

These boats are passenger only. You can bring food but probably not the best idea. It's only a 40 minute trip. There is no shortage of restaurants near the dock, I including a bar restaurant up the stairs where the ticket office is.
Yes you do..
Less than an hour. It's not a thrill ride but very informative if you aren't familiar with the city.

$10 for adults (13 and over), $6 for children and seniors. It's about 40 minutes.
No be sure you n group arrive early before others arrive so you can get boat early
Yes! We took my father in law and he's in a wheelchair. Yes there are steps down to the canal, however there is also a ramp. So wheelchairs are no issue.
No. Line to buy tickets not long if no event going on. Of course, if there is a festival, plan to wait.
I wouldn't listen to these other nay sayers. Eat your snacks. Drink your wine, discretely.
By the stairs. There's a few benches and a couple of a boats and a boathouse thingy where you purchase tickets... can't miss it really..I found it on accident
There is parking but if there is an event plan to drive around to find street space. Some spots are timed. Parking lot or deck not necessarily quick to find.
There are steps leading down to the launch area and you have to be able to step from the dock onto the boat there is no ramp. My friend who has a walker was able to do it but that was her ability.
Yes! We are running private charters only for right now. All details on our website here: https://venturerichmond.com/our-services/riverfront-canal-cruises/
I'd say at least 10 minutes before the ride time.
We were there last week I assume so. I think with gratuity, $180 and they do reservations about an hour on the water
