The Tompkins Trust company has been my primary bank since I moved to Ithaca in 1966. Have briefly tried other banks but TCTC has the best locations and number of ATM's. They handled our mortgage , checking and home equity loans with courtesy and full disclosure.

Terrible! Can't easily get into online account. I believe in strict protections, however, the bank doesn't communicate with you. Your account can go "dormant" without advance notice. Further, they can't seem to get your information correct. I was asked what city I graduated HS from, and it didn't accept it. The people on the phone just put you off to get you to not say a word. I don't think there are better banks here. Very different than NYC. I give them a 2 stars because some people try to be nice.
