Location on Google maps is incorrect. The Social security administration is located next to Boscovs in the Marketplace at Steamtown. Across the street from what Google maps shows

Never answer the phone left several messages then the office to close to the public due to Covid appointment only but you can’t make an appointment if they don’t answer the phone then you call the 1(800) number they give another number that just rings but quick to stop peoples checks and not notify them at all this is ridiculous you have to fix this office they follow no guidelines

Finally, after 8 or 9 attempts to call this place, I get an answer. 😡

How do I make an appointment?
Is the scranton office open
Yes you could use the Steamtown mall parking garage up to 3 hours. But......you'd have to make a simple purchase at any store in the mall to get free parking pass.
I haven't received mine yet.
They told me 1-2 weeks I would get mine.
They will mail it they give you a paper saying that you applied and you usually receive it in about 5 days. Hope this helps!
