It's a great public beach, one of the best I've ever visited! No fee for parking, and they have ice cream trucks spread throughout the beach. The lifeguards are very friendly there, and so are the people :)

Very kids friendly beach with a designated play area for young kids. A bike lane and a separate walk way! Very clean place! Lots of swing sets and benches to relax with the Atlantic in front of you.

It was a beautiful beach. It was sm but nice even had the police there incase people acted up. This is a great place for sm children the way the beach is set up u can keep up with them better if one gets away. We did not check anything out but the beach but I did see swing for big and little people and a playground.

Love Buckroe beach❤️ and has a fantastic park for kids.... Has come up a while lot and be holding up well from what it was in the 80's and 90's. Board walks are open and functioning.... And not a long haul from your vehicle to the water, unlike a lot of other surrounding beaches.

If you mean picnic, sure. If you mean panic, no.
No. The area is clean with rest rooms and out door shower. They've added some extra parking but if you get there early enough you should be able to park right by the beach.
We don't allow dogs in the park from First St. to the water this time of year. You can have your dog on the west side of First St. over to Second St. Thanks for asking. 😎
Last I was there, it was cleared for swimming. Just keep an eye on reports, and check with lifeguards. But I've swum there often, and never had an issue
Attraction wise there is a stage for performances of live bands. They have a farmer's market every Saturday from 9am to 1pm & a playground area for the children. There's buckroe shopping center that has Anna's Pizza which is really good, Chinese restaurant, Sav a lot if you want to grocery shop. Before the shopping center is McDonald's, kfc/taco bell which is pretty close to the beach. No hotels or motels that are nice, maybe airb&b. Very nice people, great atmosphere like southern hospitality. Never over crowded unless there is a live show but even then not to crowded. Hope this helps
You have to pay for each person who goes on there whether they fish or not.
Grills are provided free to beach goers. Please follow all applicable rules and safety precautions. ;)
There is 1 lighthouse with a door towards the center of buckroe beach park but it has never been open to the public. You can take pictures in front of it though. Not big at all
Restrooms are clean and open. Rental for tents, jetskis and paddle boards also available. Concession stand is also open. Stay away from life guards in water, they are urinating the returning to post. UGH!!
Sure. Between First and Second Streets is part of the park.
Pets are allowed in the park and beach sunrise to sunset September 16 to May 14. From May 15 to September 15 pets are not allowed anywhere except the west side of First St. sunrise to sunset.
Search under Buckroe Beach & Park....
I always brought my own and never saw a place to rent them
I would say at Newport News Park or at Sandy Bottoms Nature Reserve in Hampton
No. Could potentially just go on around to Salt Ponds Marina and walk/cycle over!
No they took the last one they about a year ago. So hotels or motels on the beach. Sorry
No
No restaurants, just a snack place I think its ice cream
Yes you can get it you can find it in the sand .
Coming from Pembroke on the far ring side up front parking lot and on the left.
Yeah people were in the water but it didn't look too clean to me. Fishing, jet ski boating ideas may be great. However, Miami and Cali areas have some fresh, clean looking water for swimming.
Yes but only during daylight hours. The beach closes at dusk.
There is no hotel at the beach but 3 miles away
Yuppers, no problem, just try and be aware of children if you could. 😀
Rentals available during the summer only. Not sure of the costs but the company is Hampton Watersports. Google them to find out the cost.
No but you can suggest it on their website.
Contact the City of Hampton Parks and Rec Dept Monday through Friday 8am-4pm at 757-727-6348. Kathy will help you.
I was at Buckroe Beach last weekend and saw jellyfish everywhere.....near the ski jet rentals.
