I was sent an email by Americare asking for a review about Harmony Gardens in Warrensburg, MO. The opinions in this review are based upon my observations while visiting Mom approximately 10 hours per week at various hours of the day/night. Mom has lived here almost one year. Mom pays about $4,300 a month. Yes, a month. The facility is beautiful. The activities are age appropriate. The food is nutritious and varied. Many of the employees are kind and working diligently to make a difference. However, in my opinion, more staff need to be hired to facilitate prompt attention to resident's needs and concerns. I also think more training in behavioral intervention techniques when working with the elderly needs to be provided to staff, nursing director and the administrator. At Harmony Gardens, my opinion is that mom is viewed as a free-loading guest in someone else's house and needs to mind her manners, watch herself very carefully, and keep questions to herself.

The staff is excellent. Everyone works together for the best interests of the patients. Physical facility is older, but has been recently remodeled and is attractive.

Excellent care and beautiful community for our area. Loving, educated, and knowledgeable staff. Harmony Gardens is a true "Assisted" Living Community (Enhanced-Level 2) and able to provide high-quality care. Perfect mix of Medical, Social, Lifestyle and Spiritual needs. Care team members even make sure all Residents are at meals or taken a tray if they're ill, check on them regularly, actually go get them or Activities and Outings, take them to Doctor's appointments, and tons more!!! Some local Doctor's even make HOUSE CALLS. I would happily help my parents or other family members who needed/wanted Assisted Living, move here.
