Special tools, not your basic hand tools though.. the special tools they rent are good quality tools
They sell recharge kits there. The instructions on the kit are detailed enough for someone with little to no experience to follow. That being said, I would recommend watching an A/C troubleshooting video on YouTube before buying the recharge kit. From experience I can tell you; spending $50 to find out you have a different issue isn't fun.
