Hertz will not answer their local telephone. If you have a problem and you can't physically go to the service counter at the airport you are out of luck. I would recommend one of their competitors with better customer service for car rentals.

Surprisingly decent car rental agency. Staff was friendly and accommodating, ready to answer any questions I had. Fast service and they didn't waste my time with anything. Thomas was very helpful. Would rent from this Hertz again.

Hertz has a customer for life. My mom and I came to Kansas to visit my son. On the way to the airport mom realized she forgot her phone putting us waaayyy behind. After dropping mom off at the gate I went to return the car with only 30 minutes to spare. I asked the young man at Hertz what was the quickest way to the shuttle. Before I could get to the door Cameron runs up behind me offering to drive me to the terminal. This made my entire day! Thanks to Cameron and his team mate for providing amazing customer service.

I almost always go for enterprise when renting a vehicle. First impression of Hertz: the vehicle was okay. The back door was not fully functioning and it was not ideal as we were traveling. Had no issues with returns. Why I’m rating a 1 on this is due to the following. If you need to speak to a local employee it is near impossible. The number on here is incorrect. Once you go to the website and call the number on there it takes you to corporate. I wanted to ask if my headphones were found in the vehicle and listening to the prompts.. was directed to go to the website for lost and found. I’m a tech savvy individual and could not find the log they allegedly have for lost and found. I was finally able to choose an option to get me to a local employee to only have it ring endlessly. As someone who works in retail and customer service.. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I can only imagine had we run into issues.. the frustration of trying to find a solution with a robot.

I'm a Gold Hertz member already. My flight lands @ 11:34pm on Wednesday, Aug. 10th. That said, if I book through my Hertz app on my phone, will I be able to pick up my vehicle at the MCI airport (Kansas City, MO)? The same question is for my drop off on Friday, Aug. 12th as my flight departs at 6:00am?

You will take car rental shuttle to the car rental place and they have signs from there
sometimes it is a deposit hold not a charge. it can take time to release the hold. cars are rented under an "RR#". the same car can be rented under a new "RR#" while your hold is being released. I rent every week btw.
The airport offers parking for a fee. Hertz will not let you leave a vehicle.
It would be best to call the location.
You'll have to wait until the following day when they're open. And you should convey to them any changes in pick up or drop off ASAP.

A lot of it depends on how far in advance to reserve your car. Events holidays weekends all have the big factor. But times I needed an upgrade I got nice SUVs.

Shuttle busses run 24-7 at ten to fifteen minutes apart. Hertz counter is unmanned for non gold membership reservations from 2am to 5am.
There's a shuttle you have to take. It's free of charge. Most if not all car rentals require you to take a shuttle.
Shuttle busses! Or 1 Nassau circle in GPS will take you to visitor parking. 586 Paris will take you to the return gate. Look for the Phillip 66 gas station. It's within site from there.
