My appointment at Shear Bliss was genuinely horrible. I had booked for a special occasion, and from the moment I arrived, staff treated me with disregard. Even though I had booked online, I was put in for the wrong appointment. Once seated, my stylist ignored me for almost half an hour. I saw multiple staff members approach her, telling her I was waiting, while she continued to chat casually in plain view. When she finally approached me, she would not listen to what I wanted, and even mocked my bangs. She gave me the strangest blowout I have ever received, and I ended up crying on the subway, fixing my haircut in a hotel bathroom. I was made to feel out of place, and the experience was incredibly uncomfortable. Nothing is worth this experience, and my haircut was not even well done enough to justify it.

I’m in love with my new hair!! I wanted something completely different and fresh. I went from super long hair, to short hair and Elsa made me feel like a million dollars! I loved that Elsa sat down to chat with me about what I wanted and really took the time to understand my vision. She offered me a delicious coffee and got straight to work! Elsa was approachable and kind which I appreciated because I can be shy! She and Michelle were super meticulous and detail oriented with my hair. I felt like I was the most important client in the salon! I’m extremely picky and sensitive when it comes to my hair so I’m over the moon to have found a home salon in NYC!! I’ve also worked with Stella and Adela who both cut my hair and are the reason I returned for color work! They weren’t available for the day I needed, so I found Elsa. Thank you for helping me feel more confident in my look!
