Alas, this place has gone downhill over the years. I would guess that 50% of our pizza orders come out wrong. The staff turnover quickly and seem somewhat clueless. A real shame because it’s a neighborhood institution and used to be fabulous. I’d rather they hire more staff, pay them more, get some decent training, and raise prices.

Around $10 - $16. There are a lot of U of C grads, undergrads and professors that frequent there, but there are also many Hyde Park residents that go there as well. HTH
They don't have a specific birthday cake but you can ask for a candle on their Brownie Sundae. You can bring your own cake to have after your meal as they are family friendly and accommodating.
The salads and the sandwiches are in low sodium. They are very healthy too.
