I brought My mom here to purchase a gun because I had a good recommendation from before. At first the guy was helpful..We rented and tried out a couple of guns and when we came out the range to purchase the guy whom we was dealing with at first didn't assist us; (He was getting ready to go )but didn't say anything to us about it we found out only because he left out the same time as we did.it was another guy that gave us our Ids back and we had a couple more questions and he just pointed to a showcase so we went over there but he never came to help us. Well after standing there for awhile with nobody to assist us we ended up leaving because we felt they didn't want our money nor wanted to service us..We ended up going to Kees fire Arm and making a purchase, they was very helpful and patient with us. We will not be back to Rinks Unfortunately due to this poor service.

absolutely the worst firearm exchange of my life. I have owned firearms since I was 15, I have hunted all over the North American continent. Don't waste your time or money with these ignorant people.

Very good staff. They all seem to meet the customer at their level and are unusually patient. But using this store to handle a transfer: wow. For $50 I’d like the employees to explain policy the same way. Or at least not wait until you go to pick up a firearm purchased 8 days ago — and be told to come back in 3 more. Why? Because they hold your completed paperwork, don’t run the check, and make for an 11 day wait. A store can do what they want, of course. But this odd process with no heads-up is just frustrating. Having the other guy last week set a different expectation entirely … that’s amateur hour. With a range in their condition I’d expect a better effort for customers. But if you want to learn something and buy what’s in the cabinet, this is a good store.

Drove over 30 minutes to this place after I called and talked on the phone with someone. They gave me an answer as soon as he opened the case, what he could have told me over the phone. Now over an hour of my time is wasted. Thanks for wasting my gas. I won’t be back.

You can do it on the state police website on your phone & upload your picture, takes about 10 minutes. The law requires them to handle your FOID application within 30 days. Mine took 35...

There is a form that you can get online state police or local gun dealer. Feel it out giving the info and numbers on gun . It gives details of the sale you fill in everything else. Tube dealer will witness the exchange and they pick up in a week.

Range cost is 15 bucks per person, and my guess for the ammunition is somewhere between 15 and 20 bucks.

At least one person needs to have an FOID card. That person may bring up to 2 guests who don't have firearms card. Must be over 21 to shoot handguns.
