I was able to meet with a consultant today. She was very knowledgeable and listened really well and was engaged with what I had to share about my health. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. Several machines are available with personal training. I look forward to being able in the near future to work with them on my health journey. There are not enough positive things for me to say about Total Health and Fitness!! I have worked with David J. for over 7 years. He has taught me so much about fitness and nutrition, been supportive and encourages me every step of the way. I started as a client in the Draper office and saw such amazing results from the program that I transitioned to a virtual client when I moved out of state. It is the best investment I have made in my health and wellness journey!

Everything we do is customized. Typically, corporate wellness programs may offer employees a general set of dietary or physical fitness suggestions. They might take your employees’ body metrics (like weight, blood pressure, etc) as well. Knowing that information is important, but our trainers will actually work with your employees to find a plan that is customized to their needs.

Generally, all information is private. However, that does depend on the setup of the program. If there’s a contingency or a company-wide contest going on, then some data may be given to the company.

If this is happening, then you’re most likely not seeing any progress in your workout plan. Your calorie intake and distribution is off. Our programs are fully customizable to your schedule. We can create plans that work for home, the office, vacation spots, and anywhere else. Some of our clients only work out four times a week for 30 minutes per day.

You can only build muscle from the calories that you consume, not from exercise alone. It all depends on the relationship between your exercise and diet. That’s why our trainers will build a plan for you that helps your diet work with your exercise routine. If you want to look toned or go for more of a bodybuilder appearance, we can help create a plan that balances your exercise and diet to achieve those results.

Very important! The amount of calories coming in to your body compared to the amount being used determines whether or not you gain weight. To increase your metabolism, there needs to be an increase of lean tissues and muscle mass. You also need to be participating in eating habits like eating frequently and eating for your upcoming activity level. This drives your metabolism. Resistance training is also important as this increases the amount of calories your body needs to repair itself.

Accountability is so important! You’ll work with your dietitian/personal trainer to help you set and reach personal goals. This person will work with you from start to finish. When you start, you’ll come in for a FREE onsultation where you’ll receive a tour of the facility and a body analysis. You’ll also talk with one of our professionals about your goals and habits. They’ll show you an example of what your customized program could look like as well as help you understand how long your health goals could take to accomplish. After that, you’ll come in for weekly appointments where your coach will discuss your results with you as well as what the plan will be for the next week.

Do your dietitians make plans that adapt to dietary restrictions, disabilities or different body types?

Yes, our plans are all customizable to the individual and their needs. If you are vegan or gluten-free, for example, we can work with that. If you’re limited in your ability to exercise due to a wheelchair, exercise-induced asthma, or any other reason, we can help you find options that can work for you, your body, and your circumstances. We write our nutrition and exercise plans with you and cater to your needs, likes, and dislikes. These plans can change week-to-week to accommodate any needs or preferences that you may have.
