We went to Ray’s Boot Repair because he had such good reviews! Big mistake! I dropped a hunting boot off for my husband and Ray said he could fix and make it last for another hunting season and that he would have it ready in 2 weeks. I thought it was a rather long time for some stitching that needled to be done on the back. Pickup day arrived and we called in to make sure it was ready. Ray told us it would be ready in 3 hours. My husband went in after 3ish hours. Ray had not even worked on the boot!! He then started seeing right in front of him and stitched half of the opening in between helping other people who came in. He kept telling him that he needed to help the other customers and didn’t put any priority on my husband even though we had been waiting so long in his boot. He finally got to stitching half way and stopped and told my husband he couldn’t fix it. He then tried convincing my husband that he doesn’t need intense hunting boots like those in Utah!! He tried justifying his lack of attention, his procrastination, and possibly his over booking by not finishing what he had originally told me he would do by telling him he didn’t need the boots. It was a couple days before we needed to leave for the hunt! I was incredibly upset when I found out had happened. The boot is half fixed well. We will not be going back.

Ray is a Fantastic Boot Guy This is the 2nd pair of Boots he has resoled for me. By far the best work, fare price and his return of Boot's is 3 day's, that's days not weeks or months. He's honest I have taken 2 other pair of Boots to him and he's said not the right type of Boot to resolve. Very much would recommend Ray for your Shoe, Boot repair work.

Yup... he can fix or replace zippers. A lot does depends on the the quality and construction of the boot. He is a straight shooter and will let you know the possibilities before you commit to the repair.

I do orthopedic buildups all the time. Athletic shoes are the best. New balance makes a wonderful walking shoe that is flat on the bottom which makes it easier to do the build up

Not sure I fully understand the question, as I've never seen a buckle for shoelaces. That said, he can fix almost anything on a shoe that's worth fixing, and if it's not worth fixing, he won't jerk you around about it, he'll tell you up front. He might even have a better, more durable option than the rivet...
It depends on what and where, exactly...but generally speaking, yes. I've been there several times when he'll take something that just needs an inch or so rest itched and just do it right there on the spot.
