This company is terrible. No one seems to know one from the next. Got to the area at 8 for the 9am sail, and was told I couldn’t go in because the ship left at 8:30 which didn’t make any sense. Your money is also non refundable, so your only hope is your bank.

First time on this ferry to Bimini. Julio Ceasar and staff were very polite and professional. Made the trip that much better. Will do this trip again but not the same day trip. Gotta stay a few days next time.

Good enough. Bring your own food! 3 to 4+ hour trip. They block off most seating areas to bunch all passengers together. Not sure why

The ship has definitely made some major adjustments since last I said with them (6/7 years ago). We sailed from Fort Lauderdale - Bimini World Resort then back to Fort Lauderdale (Day trip). We were the first people there so checking in was a breeze. The port does offer all day parking in the garage so you can leave your vehicle there till you come back. If it is your first time sailing with Balearia, do yourself a favor and purchase premium seats. Premium has more space, the seats are more comfortable, more mobility (recline, etc. PLEASE BRING A THICK BLANKET. It was extremely cold on the ship and you will be uncomfortable if you don’t bring anything to keep you warm. I get very nauseous so I took Dramamine 24 hrs before and 1 hr and 30 minutes before and felt nothing on the ship. If you are headed to Bimini World Resort, book your golf cart and excursions (if available) ON the ship, all carts were gone by the time we reached the island and had to wait an hour and thirty minutes for our own. Check the weather before you plan your trip! There was 60% chance of rain and very rocky waters so we were unable to do any excursions. Mask are mandatory the whole trip even on the island (they do not play on the island). You do have to check in before you board again so that will be at the drop off location. Be back at the loading station by 6 so you don’t miss your ride back home (unless they state otherwise because the ship is sometimes late coming back from Freeport). For fresh conch salad go to Stuart’s and for cracked conch dinners go to My three daughters restaurant (amazing!). Going through customs to come back home was a breeze. Overall we had a great time and plan on sailing again soon.
