I have a house full of old but sturdy Kenmore appliances. When I can, I prefer to repair them rather than toss them out and add to refuse piles only to replace them with newer allegedly more efficient machines that often don’t work as well or last as long. As such, I have used Sears Home Repair services routinely in the last two years. Service is easy to schedule online, and the repair people have been prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and have gone above and beyond the call of duty to fix appliances and make gentle suggestions about continued good maintenance and longevity. My most recent experience was with master repair technician Angel C. I cannot say enough about how amazing he is. With over 30 years of experience, he is incredibly well versed in a variety of appliances and brands; he is an engineer and a kind and thoughtful fixer and teacher (of both customers and - as I learned when he was here today - of apprentices who sometimes shadow him). He is courteous, prompt and neat and has a gentle sense of humor that puts the nervous homeowner at ease. If you are interested, he also is willing to instruct you on what he’s doing so that you can better understand your appliance and how to maintain it for best efficiency. In addition, he is thoughtful about cost and options and offers very reasonable no-pressure advice on repair versus purchase on brands and their functionality and prices, etc. I highly recommend Sears Home Repair and if you are lucky to live in Eastern PA/NJ, request Angel C if you can, but sincerely you can’t go wrong with the other techs in my experience. We are still waiting for our refrigerator to be repaired or replaced. We have been waiting since August 2019. The man came this month, found out that it couldn't be fixed and we are awaiting a replacement. I have tried to call to find out when a replacement will be provided but I can't get an answer. I have informed Sears that we will have 17 house guests for the holidays, so replacement is important.
