Overall, I had the most wonderful experiences at Bijou. The attendants were lovely and attentive, allowing me to savor my time in my wedding dress at most appointments. The dress is a stunning, elegant piece designed by Stefan Jolie, who works with their store. The veil I purchased from Bijou complimented my dress like a dream. Diana is a sweet and incredibly talented seamstress; my dress fit like a glove on our magical day! The old Bijou store had a warm and romantic atmosphere. Their new, big, and bright store showcases their beautiful dress selection even more! All of that being said, I am knocking one star for my first experience at Bijou, which left me feeling anxious and initially uncertain about my dress decision. Please know, I am not the type of person to express anything negative. I had completed a thorough, online assessment of the style of dress that I desired, long before my scheduled appointment. When I arrived at my appointment, my attendant claimed she could not find my assessment, leaving us to search in a more rushed way for preferred dresses in my price range. I did not find my attendant particularly sensitive to my needs, and she made an unprofessional comment that has stuck with me. One of her coworkers appeared to pick up on that, and she interacted with me more, almost to compensate. Overall, I have had primarily excellent experiences with Bijou and did not have to work with that attendant again, so I was a happy bride!

Had my appointment with Sandy. My mom, friend and I were visiting after seeing quite a few other bridal dress shops in NJ. This shop was the only place that I felt extremely uncomfortable because of how Sandy acted with us. The front desk ladies were very kind and accommodating and mentioned my budget could be something they might have dresses for (which I asked ahead of booking). Sandy said we aren't going to find anything really in that budget and barely even started showing us other options, she showed us maybe 2 or so on her own nd my mom kept asking what about others/can we look at other bridesmaid/mother gowns etc. We drove 2 hours to get here and my mom had to practically beg Sandy to entertaining other nontraditional dresses as options. I was looking for a 2nd dress for a multicultural weding. Before we left we hit the restroom in the shop and my friend overhead Sandy make a snarky comment to one of the desk girls. Overall, it was super unprofessional and I felt (/my group too) shorted in service due to cultural needs / budget needs. I ended up finding my dream Dress in my budget at Bhldn the sales woman was so respectful/helpful. Not sure if it was an off date at Bijou or if we weren't easy enough customers but some respect and time without pushing would've been much appreciated, especially for something so special.

I said yes to the dress today! The Sales Associate, Claudette, was so easy to work with - understanding, attentive, and patient. The selections at this shop had a variety of dresses and you are able to look through the ones you want to try on during your first visit. Highly recommend! Thank you, Bijou bridal and Claudette!

This was the most amazing experience I had ! I felt so comfortable trying on all the dresses and my consultant was absolutely amazing ! I’m upset because I forgot her name but she was soooo amazing! All the dresses wear beautiful. The store was very clean and organized! They asked the right questions and got exactly what I wanted ! I said yes to the dress and I highly recommend!!
