Unfortunately I did not have a good experience today with Davids Bridal in Freehold. Our consultant, (I don’t want to say her name) was nice but I feel was not helpful what’s so ever. She sat down with a fellow coworker the whole time while I and the bride pulled most of the dresses. There were also a couple of times I tried on dresses that were to big and instead of realizing that we needed a dress clip we went through multiple dresses until the mother of the bride finally was fed up and asked for a clip. Another thing that made me really uneasy was when I tried on a dress that was a size too small. I have a hard to fit upper body and my dress sizes fluctuated depending on the material. I was in a size 4 and probably could have done a size 6 or 8 and the one lady who was sitting next to our consultant who also worked there came to help me try and zip the dress and told me I’d have to go up only one size but our consultant said multiple time “No she’s a 10, I’m telling your she’s a 10, I’ve been here for so long don’t question it” although I am secure in my body if this was someone else who wasn’t this could have made them feel really ashamed and embarrassed. I usually don’t write reviews because working retail I know how it is but after reflecting on this the rest of the day I decided that this was not okay and saddening. I will not be going to this David’s Bridal location ever again.
