Simple answer: Yes. If you are a professional, you should appear professional. But more than that. We are not supposed to judge, but subconsciously we all do it. Don't judge a book by it's cover is all well and good, but let's be honest, we all do it. Having a headshot taken by a professional headshot photographer will ensure you look confident, professional and likable. When I'm taking your picture I want it to achieve several things: Would I want to work for this person? Would I want to hire this person? Would I want to be on a team with this person?, and Would I buy something from this person? I'm sure we would all answer no to those questions based on some headshots we've seen. Don't let that be you.
I start with the philosophy that everyone is beautiful. The problem isn't that you're not photogenic, it's that you've never had someone coach you and pull out your personality and capture that in a picture. As a facial expression coach, I will guide you to ensure that we create shots that show you at your absolute best.
