Beautiful spot with access to a private beach that is so calm and relaxing , you feel as if you are in another place (not long island). Staff was very lovely...the property is very well kept and clean. The rooms are very comfy with flat screen tvs, king beds, and access to a patio with a personal hot tub. Wonderful place to stay after a day of wine tasting. Hit the beach right after and just relax. They have paddle boards and kayaks for guest use as well. Something to note....the vibe is a very quiet, low key kind of place. I felt as if we were being disruptive by playing some music from our phone while on the beach. Wanted to play a couple of beach games, but after reading the atmosphere, we decided not to. Not a bad thing, but it is worth keeping in mind if you were interested in a more upbeat type of pace .

Pros- Staff was lovely, location is ideal to the various wineries. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Cons - Bedrooms don’t stay dark enough to sleep in, room darkening shades would be great on the windows. Some type of bug repellent/ candles/ fire pit would be wonderful because at dusk you’re a buffet for the mosquitos. Overall we enjoyed the weekend and would stay here again.

Just did a last minute no kids getaway with my wife for one night. What a great find this place was. Splurged for a beachfront suite and well worth it. On a cold windy night and day, we were able to sit in the room and literally be at the beach. Very peaceful and clean. Nice little breakfast “picnic” in the morning. Very quiet in the winter but just what we were looking for. Few minute drive to Jamesport winery. Would definitely do this again.

We checked in for a winter overnight getaway, unfortunately on a night that was expecting a winter storm. We got there early & were so happy to learn that our room was ready. This was my second time at Aqua & my husbands first, & I can’t say enough about how special this place is. The rooms are super clean, decorated beautifully, & very cozy. Each room overlooks either Peconic Bay and/or the gardens & property that are lovely, even in this cold season. It’s refreshing to be able to use the outdoor furniture that is unique & plentiful throughout the property & in front of each room. Sit out on a chair on your deck with a comfy blanket & if you close your eyes, the warm sun feels like summer. If the weather is too cold, you can use the outdoor glass enclosed patio room lit up with an array of sparkling lights. How amazing to open the doors & smell the fragrant lit candles & feel the warmth of the fireplace space heater. It was the perfect place to share some wine & relax outdoors when we were there. And what could be nicer than hearing a knock on your door in the morning, only to find hot coffee & a picnic basket filled with delicious breakfast goodies. The best! We decided to try the new outdoor sauna before we left, & that was the most relaxing & rejuvenating half hour experience. Give it a go, you will love lying there in the steamy heat looking out at the water. A big shoutout & thank you to Javier, the host/manager at Aqua who is so knowledgeable, sweet & kind, & went out of his way to make our stay 24 hours of perfection! My husband & I highly recommend Aqua by American Beech & can’t wait to go back, in any & every season!
