Waited 3 days in Miami Beach for a tow a couple a years ago. They could not get one single tow truck out there in all that time, and no one truly cared nor did they have a way to deal with the situation. Telephone agents provided misinformation and outright lied to me. So did the management team. Two years ago when I needed a tow, they also could not find a tow truck during a one day period. I ended up paying for a private tow and AAA still have not delivered the reimbursement forms that they pre-approved and promised. Now I’ve been waiting over 4 hours for a tow and I’m told it’ll be at least another two and a half hours, possibly more. Experience tells me it could be a lot more. Save your money, get roadside assistance elsewhere.

Yes. You need a copy of your driver's license, the filled out form that is available online, 2 passport photos signed on the back and 20 bucks. Call ahead as they have been running out of the cards.
