The Homeserve service that they sell is utterly useless. You are expected to be without gas aerve for up to 72hrs while the attempt to make contact with random contractors to do the interior work. Definitely not worth the headache.

106.00 gas bill for a stove, that we don't use. We don't have a washer dryer nor dish washer. There's NO way out bill should be this high. My budget went from 120.00 a month to 150.00 a month, when I asked if I could be dropped off budget, I was told NO because my current bill would be over 600.00 in JULY. Can someone explain this to me? Now today I go to pay my bill because they won't accept my husband's credit card. They'll take my pay pal card but not an actual credit card?? Umm what?? Get it together black hills. This is pathetic . I don't have 2 hours to spend on hold because of your screwed up system.

I was having problems with signing in to my account because I hadn't been in it for years. I found my user name and typed it in several times, but it would replace it with my EMail address. I was confused. I am on auto pay and I thought it was a good time to go on budget before winter, so I wouldn't have another $140.00 bill. So I called in and gave them a call back number and within 5 minutes they called me back.The Rep. out of Arkansas was excellent! I was able to go on budget through Her. The only reason I am only giving 3 stars, is because of the web site. We will see if everything goes as planned. A follow-up hopefully will not be needed.

Terrible customer service. Don’t trust online set up of service or transfer of service. When buying a new house I transferred service to myself weeks in advance, a couple days in they turned off the gas. Then proceeded to charge me $80 extra to turn it back on.

While it might behoove you to go ahead and contact our Customer Service Center at 888-890-5554 to get specific information regarding your personal account, a letter to pay in cash or cash equivalent usually means you can pay by credit card, money order, or cashier's check - just not from a checking or savings account. Additionally, in your area, you can pay with cash or card at your local Walgreens, US Bank, or Hyvee with the Western Union SpeedPay option. I definitely understand the frustration of having to change the way you pay, so I hope this is able to give you some options. Thanks, ^Seth

We would be happy to answer any question you might have; however, our knowledge of furnace functions would only be minor troubleshooting. We would recommend reaching out to someone in HVAC work or possibly a plumber to do a more complete diagnosis as this could be an issue with your pilot light, your thermostat, or possibly something more in depth. If commercial yes! They will do a credit check. so it really depends on your credit if you'll need a deposit or not for residential. By the way that is First Time commercial account.
There is no longer a local office in Lincoln
All you have to do is call Black Hills Energy and they will tell you what they've been paying for the last months just give them the address and they should be able to tell you to what's been paid per month
Did not use any gas last year but I had to pay a minimum of about $18 a month
Very terrible customer service. Its like they know lincoln residents have no other options so they don't need customer service.
BHE provide natural gas to your residence, while LES provides electricity.
