Thanks to one unknown Manager at Belks I promise to never set foot in Belks again and I've told my wife not to ever buy me anything from there again. My wife had a $10 reward card Belk sent her for her birthday and she knew I needed a new shirt so we went there to find one. I told her if we had any problem this time that would be it because of the many times I had tried to use a coupon in the past only to find out it didn't work with whatever I was trying to buy. We found one shirt that was the right size and color but had a spot on it. It was the only one. My wife thought we could get the spot out at the cleaners so I told the lady at the checkout counter if we could get a decent discount because of the spot I would take it. She was very nice and said she would do what she could. She had me pull up a regular coupon for 40% but it only took 30%. Then she gave me an extra 20% but I felt the cost was still high, especially with the spot. She called her manager to see if there was anything else she could do but the manager said I could not get the extra 20% and could only get 15%. She told the clerk that she could send the shirt back to the supplier and get the full price. So instead of trying to keep a customer happy for 10% or 15% she was more worried about the bottom dollar. Now Belks has lost one customer for sure!
