I stayed here back in 2008 when I was around 6. I don't remember alot but I do remember a couple thing. The other homeless families I met were like MY family. Sad i lost contact. When I was there, there was a staff who was very kind. I dont remember his name or what he looked like but I know he was struggling in his personal life and was battling depression. Yet he always put that aside when he was working. He was an amazing artist! Sadly I think he passed in a crash. I also remember you had to wake up SO EARLY just to eat breakfast

They help so many people by giving a hand up when needed. Thank God for this Facility because in Vero Beach and even the entire Indian River County this is the only Family Homeless Shelter. HFC does so much to help Families its a Blessing to have in our community. The staff is caring, kind and totally empathetic to all of its residents. If you and your family ever need help, PLEASE make sure you try and get in here, you can work, they'll provide so much in order for you to get your life back and on track to success. I highly recommend this Facility to anyone needing a hand up and not a hand out. God Bless Hope For Families
