Rankin Ranch is a perfect hiding place.. everyone is respectful and humble. Quick question for the Rankin's, what type of hay are you guys growing ? Your hay fields are amazing..

Perfect balance of Rustic charm and comfort. We had our annual “Cousins” trip here and had a blast. 16 people in our group everyone had a blast. Ages 5-50. Food was great, service was excellent. We all really enjoyed a true American family vacation. Horseback riding, crafts, pool, pool table, corn hole, volley ball, soccer, fire pit. This place is a kids outdoor play ground. Plus much more!! WiFi is available on a limited time basis. Making family time a priority!!! Camp counselors did such a great job! Ride leaders did a fantastic job. This is one experience you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait to come back.

This year coming up will be my family's 23rd or 24th year going to Rankin ranch. The people are just the nicest and the chef Dino is amazingly friendly and such a good cook. The hearty western food, the delicious beef, and the fun activities are just small pieces of the puzzle that really brings Rankin together. Rankin Ranch will always have a special place in my heart.

Yes! We heat the pool May-September.
Wi-fi is available around the office from 3 – 5 p.m. for necessary use. Satellite internet cannot support large downloads or internet-based calling.
There is virtually no cell phone service at the ranch, but we do have an office phone available if needed.
We do not allow pets, nor can you bring your own horses to the ranch. But we’ve got plenty of animals for you to visit and make new friends with!
The kids program is offered for children staying at the ranch from ages 4-11.
We recommend that you look at Tehachapi to predict weather temperatures. This town is near the ranch and has a very similar climate. Our address is Caliente, but the town of Caliente is about 2,000 feet lower in elevation and has a bit warmer temperatures. Our 3,500 feet elevation provides us with beautiful summer weather. We range from 85 to 95 during the day and drop down to the mid 50’s at night.
No helmets are not required, but you are welcome to check one out from the office.
Children ages six and above are permitted to ride. No guest over 250 lbs. or guests that are pregnant are not permitted to horseback ride.
👌 I'll try that gates been locked 4 at least 6 years I've been going there
