A Father's Place has an amazing mission. Their dedication to local fathers is without reproach.

I have worked with this organization for several years. They always made me feel welcome and cared about. They will hold you accountable! Some may take this as harsh criticism, however it only helped me grow and improve on the job and in my personal life. They will always be my second family. Just FYI, I left for personal reasons, NOT because of poor work environment or bad management. I was always listened to when it mattered most.

Don't work here if you are educated and trying to make a difference. The CEO only has a bachelor's degree that is not even an actual social work field, which I have (BSW)!!! With only a year and a half of my school and field training hours for my (MSW). They made me come to multiple interviews and a ceremony and claimed I had the job. Once they found out how educated I was and how I could relate to individuals struggling and make a difference while they can't connect and have no one making an actual difference but the individuals that want a true change and chance. I was discriminated against because I didn't cut my hair and bow down to their needs and wants with all the past years of education and experience as a case manager and social worker. No one should be judged on looks, especially with no record, many years of experience, multiple degrees, and dresses for success!

Dont waste your time working for this organization. It's a revolving door for a reason. Their mission is fantastic but management is very hypocritical. They claim to want educated and dedicated employees but that isn't the Case. Even the clients working the program see how poorly some staff get treated. The interview process is a joke. They were not professional or prepared but except perfection from the applicants. If you are a minority male, Dont bother unless you are ok with being called “homeboy.” it's sad because again the mission is great but who is willing to take such low pay and be treated like a slave who just got freedom?
