Super steep at the start but once you make it through the first 1/3 mile you reach the top so it's flat pretty much the rest of the way. Also has plenty of resting benches.

Nice for a short, sweaty hike. There's a big climb at the front with a little picnic place halfway up. Ends with a bit of an overlook of fields and forest rather than the river.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the preserve is pet friendly, however, the pets must be on a leash and cleaned up after. Thank you. Have a great hike!
No. But Trapper Falls, 15 miles south of this location; in Prairie Du Rocher, has cabins. You can find them on Google maps as well.
