Ogunquit River Inn an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

Our hotel room smelled like urine. They tried to cover it up with an overload of toxic air “freshener”. The room was dank and dirty. Feel completely mislead by their website and high prices. Would absolutely NOT recommend.

The room that I got only is able to be entered by a sliding door outside which has its pros cans cons it is good for safety but you have to walk to the back of the building. The beds were quite comfortable, the room was set up nice the shower was actually not musty and had good water pressure. The sink area had a nice mirror with LED lights. There was no closets but there was a caddy area that held towels, blankets, pillows and could hold a suit case. There was also a mini fridge and a kurig with k cups in the room which was nice. The view of the rivers sometimes looked like a swamp when the tide was low but there was lots of birds and greenery. You can also rent a kayak for money. In the morning you can get coffeetea, pound cake, and apple, raspberry, cheese, and cinnamon danishes. There is also caramel and hazelnut syrups for your coffee. But there was no other breakfast items, so don’t get your hopes up. There is a out door pool that ranges from 3-9ft deep. It is heated and so refreshing when it is hot out. There is horsefly’s that bite so watch out for that, and make sure to pack bug spray because there is SO many mosquitoes. The staff was nice and the place was clean the pool area also has cabanas which provide nice shade. I did not see any hot tub. Housekeeping came while we were gone and restocked towels coffee and vacuumed which was a surprise to come back to. There is lots of stores and restaurants close by. In all i would recommend this hotel.

The Ogunquit River Inn was a great spot for a jump off point to explore the Ogunquit/ Wells/ Kennebunkport area. It's close to everything, but just far enough to stay out of the crowds. The rooms are clean and more than adequate, the staff is eager to please, the property is well kept and picturesque and the prices are just right.

The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing! The ability to go out on a kayake from the property to explore the oceans canal was accommodating. The pool was super clean with towels on hand. The room was super clean and the beds were amazingly comfy, so comfy I didn't want to get out of it in the morning. Easy check in and check out. Thanks for a great stay!
