Yes, It is very handicap accessible. The museum & gift shop are also handicap accessible.
The Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park is a city-owned public park. All GENERAL PUBLIC events are free. 《There MAY be a fee when rented for private parties like one recently》
Well its more of a attraction place were yu can relax and sit with family and friends take pics and at times theres fun days at the park i love going after church and just enjoy
I would rather drive, parking is close and free. But if you must take the train make sure it’s just in daylight hours for personal safety and it’s probably a 25 minute walk each way and there are sidewalks.
The Whirligig park is an outdoor space that you can access anytime!
It is a public park so yes always open. They do have events on weekends mostly in evening. They show a list of upcoming events in the park
I dont know you would need to contact the Whirligig Park for more information or the Flea market
Yes
You should go to City of Wilson website. Gig at the Park Ave on Thursdays are fun for all.
There are free concerts sometimes but this park its mostly about the art and not music.
There is a great little museum & gift shop across the street. It is open Tuesday-Saturday 10-5 & is handicap accessible.
Not a lot, Park is on a corner and whiligigs everywhere! You can walk as much or as little as you like and still see all the wonderful whirligigs!
My understanding is that there will be lights I just don't know if it's a formal lighting ceremony
Short answer, not yet. BUT when Mr. Simpson died a substantial number of his smaller windmills (which is what he called them) wer e available and I suspect they will on become so again.
