Great facility

Much nicer than the scout camps of my youth. Good looking climbing facilities, pool, actual buildings for shower houses and flushing toilets in addition to out houses

Great camping experience. Highly recommend this Camp when they run their BSA merit badge camps.

Camp Boddie is a beautiful natural resource that serves as a BSA camp reservation with direct access to the Pamlico River and on-site pool. There is a large dining hall with kitchen and several buildings for meetings or other functions. The dining hall has a large sheltered porch with rocking chairs lined up for a spectacular view of the river. The camp is surrounded by natural forests, but the campsites are open and well maintained, each with a roomy picnic shelter at each site. Real, clean bathrooms and showers are located conveinently around the camp to be shared by nearby campsites. Pamlico Sea Base is part of the reservation. There are several primitive cabins, and several cabins designed for shelter/sleeping. There are two very nice cabins that include heat/air, bathrooms, kitchen, living area, at least 3 bedrooms with sleeping areas for 8 or more. We have stayed many times over the past few years and the camp just gets better each time. There is a new ranger who is working hard to make ongoing improvements and always offers his assistance when needed. This is our favorite place to camp and spend time on the river.

Hi we were their this past week and on family day you just come to the camp and go to the trading post to buy a meal ticket for each person you don't have to rsvp ;) Maybe just let the Scoutmaster know your going.
Camp Boddie does not, but there are Day Camp programs for kids entering grades 1-5.
