I hesitate to speak on the mens shelter because coming from a poor upbringing the image of the area surrounding the shelter doesn't have the same shock value as to someone that's never experienced it.But its not a very happy place to say the least. My Thanks to the people that come and serve our homeless community and my prayers to those that are struggling in it.

So I can find other resources to stay but they can help her there and yes she can receive her mail down the street
Go to council for the homeless first. They will assess you and send your paperwork to share aspire within a week. This is the ones on Andresen across from Winco between 4th plain and mill plain. Share Aspire will contact you within a week and schedule you to come in and see which program you qualify for. Then they help you to understand and give you paperwork for the program you qualify for. I'm not sure how long it will take to get you into a place BUT I was in a place within 4 months. No income can quality you for the hen program. I didn't quality for this as I have an income. But I did qualify for one of the other programs. Just over 4 months from start to finish. They will help you with the job hunt too. Otherwise go to Goodwill on 4th plain just west of Andresen. They will be of more help in finding a job.
I just got illegally evicted, have the clothes on my back and my truck. I nearly frozen to death a d need some blankets or sleeping bag, how do I get those things when I am broke?
It's best if you go to portland oregon if you are a female because washington has only 6 beds for a single female.if you go to Portland's T.P.I YOU HAVE A LOT BETTER chance of getting a bed.
13th and lincoln
Men only. Go thru council, like Army of One says. Theres a number you have to call every day.
Well I know that she is not in the share house because that is a men's facility, however generally if you drive down there and ask questions someone may or may not be able to help you. Don't be alarmed buy some of the people you may see down there because they're actually not that bad, also call your local police department or go in and do a missing persons report and give a picture if you are concerned about her safety
Yes it is depends on bed space. But they will help u
