I began supporting Open House Ministries Vancouver back in 2002 as often as I could financially as well as with donations of household goods, gently used clothing, furniture etc. This particular trip I had some books. If you need help unloading your items, you can go inside and they'll have someone come out and help you.

My son lives here. They are safe and their programs have kept him clean & sober for several months.

Wheel Deals bike shop and repair proceeds help fund the OHM family shelter for homeless families. There are excellent bike repair men ready to fix your bike and also great refurbished bikes ready for purchase. The shop manager is very knowledgeable and cheerfully serves customers.

I love to make donations with a purpose. I refuse to have garage sales when I purge my home; clothes my child has outgrown, toys he no longer plays with, housewares that we don't use or need. Why go through the time and bother of trying to make a few lousy bucks when someone who really needs it could be blessed by these things I no longer need. I've been so blessed by the generosity of others in my life, it's so fun to be able to pass that blessing on when I can. Today, I called to say I had a bookshelf to donate but had no way to get it there. No problem! We'll send a truck out to get it! I'm going to be taking a serious inventory of my house this summer and looking for more items I can donate. Win/Win!
