Most people are referred to CEI by Vocational Rehabilitation or the Division of Services for the Blind. If position vacancies remain after placing all VR/DSB referrals, a job order is placed with the Division of Workforce Solutions (formerly known as the Employment Security Commission or ESC). They would provide a referral for the position, and that referral is brought to the CEI office. At that point, you turn in the referral at CEI and are given an application to complete. Applications may not leave the CEI building, so they must be completed there on-site. In a nutshell, you are either referred to CEI by VR or DSB for services (no CEI application needed), or you obtain a referral from the DWS which you exchange at CEI for an application. This is the process for most jobs. There are rare occasions where a job vacancy is listed in the newspaper. In those cases, instructions regarding how to apply are generally in the listing itself.
