We attended a taping of the Huckabee Show. This is a marvelous TV production studio, with excellent equipment, lighting, art/set design and great audio. The Huckabee staff really handles the audience quite well.

No there are no longer tours on site. You can walk up and down the boulevard but the mansion, lazy river and garden are closed to the public. The restaurant and gift shop are closed as well. Basically you can just see the outsides of the buildings. Unless you go to a Huckabee taping then you can see the inside of the theater. Hope that is helpful.
I know armed security is there during the Huckabee show but I'm not certain if they are there for every event.
It doesn't hurt. But they usually have your info when you check in.
They ask you to be there by 6-6:15.. Enter the auditofium at 7.. They have soft drinks and pastries in the lobby.
Holiday inn is .2 tenths of s mile away, everything around there is pretty pricey. Traffic in that area is atrocious so may be with the price too stay close.
