Many yellow jackets came to eat our food. Other than that, it's awesome! There is a river that is very cold, but also fun to play in.

Second time camp here in sequoia National park. Quiet pretty place near river. With the paradise creek trailhead. No shower. Campsites a bit close. A lot mosquitos for this season! Take enough spray with you.

Great camping spot if you’re in Sequoia NP! It’s very quiet and the campground is very close to the river so people can wet …

Great, secluded sites next to the river. Private and public bathrooms with outside dish cleaning basin (CLEAN!). Next to Native American sites of interest and >20 mile trail. Conveniently located in driving distance to popular tourist destinations. Clean, serene, and beautiful. Highly recommended!!! We were at #18

It varies from year to year depending on forest fire risk. As of Sept 16th, 2019, we were still able to have fires in the fire pits. We've been going every Aug/Sept for the last 10 years, and this was the first time in about 8 years that we've been allowed to have them! You can always check online or ask the Rangers at the entrance to the park just to make sure it is still allowed.
If it fits. There are vehicle size restrictions at Buckeye Flat. Not lots of space for motor vehicle parking.
The individual campsites do not have electricity but the bathrooms in the middle have a few scattered plugs.
Yes, short hiking in. Very nice for day hike and swim.
No.it is closed also the visitor centers too
Buckeye Flat will not be accessible by vehicle during off season, but is accessible by foot. You can camp there, but the restrooms will not be open. There are other campgrounds that are still accessible by vehicle during off season. Campgrounds during off season are first come first serve; no reservations or fee necessary.
Yes it is
This campground has 28 sites for tents only. In 2019, the campground is scheduled to open on March 20 at noon and close on September 25 at noon. The fee per night is $22. Reservations are available. Campsites are first-come, first served outside of the reservation dates. Parking is limited to one vehicle per site. Sites #20 and #24 are suitable for people using wheelchairs. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/249982
Sorry. I don't know the answer to that question. I just use a tent. It is very peaceful there. Good luck
It opened about 3 wks ago
Yes
Not in National park.
A camping car with a pop up tent is ok in some spots. If it's just a van they fit great.
It can be a bit chilly this time of year. I'd definitely take warm clothes for the morning, evening and night. During the day it can be nice light jacket weather
Was $22 a night when I stayed there on a holiday weekend this year. Fyi, the campground closed September 25th.
No my AT&T and Sprint phone had no service at the campground. I was able to text a few times on the upper trail whenever I had a view into pasadena. Not reliable service though. Friends Tmobile was similar
Yes but they want it to come from the mountains to avoid bringing dangerous insects into the park.
Yes!
You should ask the Park Rangers to see if there are any cancellations. This time of year it is very difficult to find a free place. Visit recreation.gov to see if anyone cancels at the last minute.
