Ample parking. Great view of Hyw 70 (Business). Ditch by road might need some work.

I have heard of John Deere my entire life--over 70 yrs. I bought myself a new riding mower as a retirement present. My feeling that I had reached the pinnacle, gotten the best, was seriously misplaced. It broke down with 30.1 hrs. The initial quote $1100+, not much below what I paid for it! When I asked why it needed so much work, I was told that it had sat too long over the winter. WOW! I have never heard such and it is not in the owner's manual. The manual tells what to do to NOT use it over winter. I had done all maintenance required. I have had much better luck buying used mowers. * * * * * * True to form, John Deere failed again. After my initial post I was contacted by the "owner" telling me that someone would contact me about my concerns. It has been almost a month and I'm still waiting. JD contends in its invoice that the mower had sat too long causing the spindles etc. to fail. My mower had 30 hours on it and had been used for 2 cutting seasons, not 3 as they contend. Over roughly 6 months of cutting season, that is 2.5 hours, or 3 times cutting my lawn, per month. That would seem to be reasonable. There is nothing about setting too long in the manual. Further, I honestly feel that I should not have had to pay for the belt after such little use, but I paid for it anyway. It is worth noting that the bearings in the spindles are sealed and should not need grease weekly as Quality Equipment recommended to me. NC's implied warranty of merchantability dictates that these parts last longer than QE states. NC's unfair and deceptive trades practices act require that JD and QE be truthful and fair in dealing with the public or pay treble damages

Have had a great experience at the smithfield storeevery time u have been. Andy Watkins has been an exceptional salesman always explains every piece of equipment and all details of the contracts. Will not buy equipment from anyone else. Also Corey the service manager has been extremely helpful with any problems I have had with any of the equipment I have bought, and dealing with warranty issues from manufacturers. Thanks to everyone there.it will not let me add a new review so recently purchased a side by side as always wonderful experience with and Watkins and Corey. We should be able to help you with that! It may depend on the brand, so it'd be best to call your local service department and make sure they have what they'd need to fix it.
Good morning, Robert. For a John Deere Z225, you will want to use a Champion RC12YC. The part number is M78543. Our Smithfield location has some in stock.
