Photos of this campground on the rec.gov are awful, but this site is actually really nice! Thats probably the reason why it had few empty sites on the 4th of July weekend. But I am happy I booked it. Its Right next to the lake, has fire-pit and not super crowded. Best lake view spots are 1-10, but unfortunately you’ll have to walk couple of minutes to the restroom

We were looking forward to our trip here. When we checked in a little early we were told we would have to wait. We drove down to day use and could not fit so we exited park to the entrance road. We watched 6 rvers enter the park as we sat there. This was memorial day as everyone had left to head home. The park was only 5% full the 2 nights we were there. We came back and I was upset and said we wanted to be treated fairly as we are all family here and lady interrupted me and said we are not family and she is my host and she is the boss. She then said technically we are 10 minutes early with a park 5% full. I told her I am glad she found it in her heart to let us in early and she said sternly do I know the rules. It would have been 4-5 stars but this overshadowed the whole stay. We had stayed at 4 Inyo parks before this one and gave those staffs all 5 stars for exceptional service. So thank you Miss Linda as we now know not to return and go to the others that appreciate their customers.

One of our favorite camprounds! The sites pointing towards the lake have amazing views. There's good spacing between sites. No hookups but there's plenty of water available. Bathrooms with flush toilets in each area, bring your own hand soap though.

I asked politely to change our campsite from the reserved one as it was very windy , the campground was half empty, and there were more wind sheltered campsites available. The staff refused. Was it too much trouble to redo some paperwork? We slept poorly because of the strong winds. Other campsites had half or less wind as I walked around.

There are water spigots in the center of each loop in addition to the one at the entrance near the dump station. A lot of people parked near us filled their tanks with the campground water -- just make sure you carry a hose long enough to reach from the spigot to your RV
We paid $54/night. Check out recreation.gov to see prices.
Make you're reservation through reserveamerica.com or download the app to do it as we'll.
It's a dollar in quarters for about 5-7 minutes of water.
Yes, you can swim in June Lake any month, but it is extremely cold until the middle of summer and then it's only tolerable.
Next door campsite is Pine Cliff, they have pay showers only a short walk from Oh Ridge.
Yes they do. Plus you're able to have fires in the provided fire pits they have. The showers are coin operated & cost $1.00 dor a 5-7 min durations
Can't speak about wifi, but 4g cell service was great the whole week I was there. I have verizon and AT&T.
Yes you can access the beach without camping.
I was just there this past weekend and check out is at 12pm. Check in is at 2pm unless your campsite is already available then you can check in earlier. You can ask at the entry shack.
We just were there and it was totaled booked with no spaces available.
You must keep your cars parked on the asphalt strip at your site. They check often and if your car doesn't fit with your camper or tent the staff will suggest an overflow spot for you.
Yes you can. However the beach area is currently "closed" but we did see kayaks and boats out there
I don't know why not since the campground staff uses them to get around. However, I'd check first.
Ah, gotcha. Which loops would be closer to the RV area? Thanks!
Our 45 foot RV fit in Rabbit space 54. Not all of the sites are that big, but check out the You Tube video that shows every space in the park to see if you will fit. The campground itself is easy to navigate and wide.
Sorry, we not stay in that loop.
Arrive early for First Come sites. Backup plan could be Mammoth Lakes campgrounds.
Yes, call to make reservations. Not real busy at this time tho.
They do allow pets there is a $10 dump station there's water but no hookups
