Grandchildren really enjoyed the playground and the beach. We arrived around 0945 and had playground to ourselves. Then went over and parked by the beach where there is a line of picnic benches and a beach. Only downside was the geese, their droppings and down in the water but they moved on. Needs geese control otherwise paddling and swimming area could become polluted.

This is a neat park with many areas including sand volleyball, a picnic area, and a walking trail on the far side of the lake where the disc golf is. The lake itself is a small lake, but beautiful! It's free to get in but donations are accepted and with how many people were there on a Friday and how clean they kept it (didn't see any food scraps, broken glass, etc where we were), bathrooms with running water and soap, and the walking paths were trimmed back -- please plan to bring some cash with you to donate! For 8 of us to enjoy it for 5.5-6hrs, we felt at least $20 was worth it. No motors seemed to be allowed on the water, but tons of paddleboards and kayaks. Not the ideal lake for fishing off of the shore, but for the determined, there's a way -- fish in the shallows away from the beachy areas or fish from a row boat. The far side of the lake had a rope swing for the daring ones. The water itself is a lil murky and lots of grass growing up at the bottom, but a great spot for kayaking and paddleboarding.

Went to a birthday party here and man it was so beautiful. It seems to be a local hang out on the weekends.

Very nice, not too crowded, the lake is very merky, so no swimming for me.

It is no longer overgrown. It has been thoroughly cleared out and there is so much more accessibility to the lake.
