Painless, polite and not crowded. Well worth the drive to Johnstown. They treat you with respect and as a human being! She even sanitized the viewer for me, and they provide a place for you to sit. You are not treated like this in The Gahanna BMV.

I only go to Johnstown! They are friendly, quickly get you in and out, and I have witnessed such tolerance of those that need guidance.

Does this location do watercraft registration?

Mark Sporck | Sep 27, 2020
Bureau of Motor Vehicles | Sep 27, 2020

We help process watercraft registrations seasonally. But these are different than vehicle registrations and are through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, not the BMV. We can collect information from you and payment (cash or check for these) at this location and we will mail your registration to you. This is not a primary function of the BMV.

H. Mason Swearingen | Sep 27, 2020
Bureau of Motor Vehicles | Sep 27, 2020

You don’t need a birth certificate to renew your driver’s license unless you have a commercial driver’s license. If you wish to get a federally compliant drivers license, you will need to bring a certified birth certificate from the health department, social security card or W-2 from 2018 or 2019, and 2 proofs of address off the acceptable document list on ohiobmv.gov. If you wish to renew your standard drivers license, all you need is you previous ohio drivers license

I recently bought a boat an trailer The boat title he had and cant find paper work for the 1998 ez roller model # 10 trailer. The license plate on the trailer is RB69WR is dated 2013 . Is there any way bmv can assist in getting tags ?

kenny HAVICE | Sep 27, 2020
Bureau of Motor Vehicles | Sep 27, 2020

You would need to present proof of weight to get a new trailer registration and plates. The previous owner can request a copy of his old registration to give you, or you can get the trailer weighed and bring an “official weight slip”, BMV form # 5721
