Hi Mable and Belinda, You should speak to your employer about the possibility of continuing any benefits they offer. Colonial Life does offer term and whole life insurance policies to OPERS members. Generally, there is a defined enrollment period for these products and we notify members via email prior to the enrollment period. The most recent period ended August 30, 2019. Please give us a call if you have further questions at 1-800-222-7377.
Derek, the full benefit payment schedule is posted online here: https://www.opers.org/retirees/receiving/payschedule.shtml
Of course, we'd love to speak with you, Sonya. For quickest service, please call to make an appointment at 1-800-222-7377.
Join the club. Before ACA I had great insurance. Every year since 2011 it has gone up over 50percent. My copays and deductibles are up over 60percent. I feel it just like everyone else. We keep electing the same people who don't include themselves to the laws that they inact. I can only hope for all of us something changes soon. It has almost bankrupted me
This does take some time, also the employer match stays in Columbus
Coke or Pepsi? Seriously it's Cost of Living Adjustment.
It is based on your three highest years in your career but it always works out to be at the end of your career

Hi Kathy, Please give us a call at 1-800-222-7377 so we can discuss the specifics of your situation.
Unfortunately, as with most account lock outs, you need to contact OPERS for assistance. I have no other advice. I was just at OPERS yesterday, with an appointment to take care of some things, and I asked about the wait time. I was told they are very low staffed in the call room. I guess patience is what's needed at this time.

When you visit strs and pers ask the questions," when retiring within 30 years," do you have wait before applying for different ohio public school job.
Social security computer there will stay seem the refund over 10 Years ago you received," yes social security stay needed proof of the amount before," you filled for social security retirement benefits or just wouldn't get retirement benefits.
Yes I believe that you have to go to finish up. Take documents that have not been filed
You do not get penalized by pers for working in the private sector you can make as much money as you want just keep an eye on your taxes
Possibly but not likely
By all means leave it in opers. You are vested and will be able to claim that. There will be the offset with SSI, but leave it so you have a little extra
If you are on his plan now, you can keep on it. If not you will have to be on your plan that is in place now
Yes, Benefits for college tuition for children receiving OPERS survivor benefits, if the survivor leave benefits for the childrens.
I am not sure on that one. You can call Person or email them.
Go to their website, you can change the w4r online
Didn't receive our W-2's form visit the opers building someone will print your paper out the same day.
You can't access any retirement money before people actually retire from the job.
To find out our HRA account can call or visit opers. Visit the opers building the wait for help is not long getting any questions answer. Employees are very helpful and patiention.
Actually it is called an offset. Your personal pension has been set by your best 3 years of average salary. What will go lower , is the SSI
January retirement check will be posted on January 2 2019.
That should have been on the application
