This is just the facts... I've been a loyal customer of Cassidy's Jewelry & Loan, on & off, since 1980 at the age of 18, before entering into the US Army. I've never allowed my loans to go over the 30 days to retrieve my property, in fact just 5 or 6 months ago I had pawned my Cannon 5Ds R, a pro level zoom lens, battery grip w/ 2 batteries. As usual, I paid the loan off within the 30 days and picked my photo equipment. Today I went into Cassidy's to get another loan for this same set up with one additional pro lens... as I walked up to the counter, the first agent said "we don't take those!". I informed him that I had it in just a few months earlier. He looked up the loan for $160, and said I would only get the same $160. I explained that I was adding another lens and needed $240... he responded "NO, only $160!". He referred me to talk to the one who had given me the loan a few months back, he also said "NO!". I then asked to talk with the owner, I was told "he won't give you any more than I'm offering you!" (I guess the owner has no authority in his own business?). I walked out saying to myself "I'll never come here again!!!!". over $5,200 worth of pro photo gear!! I drove straight to the Stockton Loan & Jewelry, where they said "no problem, I'll cover that amount ($240), but we need the charger, and I'll do it just for the body and the lens on it, you won't need the extra lens". I will now be coming to this business, since the one I've been coming to for 39 years doesn't want my business anymore!!!! Have a Great Holiday Stockton Loan & Jewelry!! You'll be my first choice from now on!

We don't buy items, we loan money using the item as collateral.
Cassidy's does not buy anything. They loan money. To find out if they will loan money on a clarinet, you can call 209.462.7593. If they do loan on musical instruments, you will probably have to take it in to be evaluated to determine how much they will loan.
I'm sorry. We don't loan on clothing items.
Hello Rick. In 1912, the Cassidys opened their first shop at 10 N. E Dorado Street. In 1970 they bought the building at Sutter and Market Street that had four stores in it. They moved into the one empty store at 44 S. Sutter Street and two years later moved to the corner store at 50 S. Sutter Street. In 1987, they negotiated with the American Savings & Loan Co. to trade the building at 50 S. Sutter Street for a building across the street at 393 E. Market Street, which is where they are today.

Pawn shops don't buy anything. They loan money on items which they hold as collateral until the loan is repaid. That said, Cassidy's doesn't usually loan on computers any more. But, you could call and ask a clerk (209.462.3920)
No. Sorry, we don't buy anything. We loan money on items, but we don't usually take computers.
Hi Michael. It depends on what it is. Your best option is to call and talk to Brett. 209-462-3920
No, we no longer handle firearm.
The rate for gold varies with the daily market.
